Green Tease: Art Cop Scotland

How can artists respond to climate change?

Green Tease: ArtCOP Scratch Night
Date: Wednesday 29th July, 7 – 9pm
Venue: Vic Bar, Glasgow School of Art Sign up here!
How can artists respond to climate change? What is the role of culture in building a more sustainable society?
Green Tease has gone Pecha Kucha style this month with two special evening events in Edinburgh and Glasgow. We’re inviting the Green Tease network to share your inspirations and ideas on the links between arts and sustainability and proposals on how you might get involved in ArtCOP Scotland.
Pecha Kucha is a great way of quickly learning about each other’s ideas and projects, where speakers show and talk about 20 images each for 20 seconds. It’s scary to do and fun to watch and we’re open to creative adaptations of the format…
We’re keen to hear from lots of you on how you think artistic practices can engage with the issues climate change and sustainability. You might have an idea for ArtCOP Scotland that you want to share with the group, a project which you’re currently developing, or an example of an artwork which has inspired you in the past.
Whether you want to present your ideas or attend as an audience member, come along and join in the discussion over pizza and drinks!
If you are interested in giving a short presentation please email gemma.lawrence@creativecarbonscotland.com to find out more, or give us a ring on 0131 529 7909.
