A more sustainable future

Cassandra Macindoe, MDes Fashion & Textiles

Cassandra’s work is an invitation to a more sustainable future. It challenges designers and educators to think through the social and environmental impacts of their work, exploring issues such as waste, transparency, sizeism, and body image. Diverging from her zero-waste contemporaries, she has used this year to develop alternative approaches to sustainable design, making extensive use of pre-loved garments and offcuts to create garments that challenge our biases and discriminations, each with their own embedded stories.
