Workshop: Zero Waste Fashion Design

Every year the global fashion industry wastes an average of 60 billion square metres of fabric (2015 figures), which equates to about 15% of all the textiles produced. Zero waste Fashion Design is one of a number of solutions being developed to tackle this problem.

Facilitated by the Zero Waste Design Online Collective, this workshop will introduce fashion and textile students to Zero Waste Fashion Design. Participants will be introduced to the basic principles, concepts, methods and systems for working with ZWFD. We will also touch on the circular economy in the context of ZWD and explore possible issues and solutions. More here
