Crisis Education, where now for us?

The climate and ecological emergencies demand a new paradigm of education: one fit for the purpose of preparing architectural practitioners and designers to cope with a world facing climate breakdown. Age-old rules of thumb are becoming obsolete and curriculums are no longer fit for purpose in the face of climate change as knowledge gaps widen; the world we live in is no longer the one in which our educators learned to practice in; and science states that there is no time left to wait for academia’s inertia to gradually thaw and appropriately react to the crisis at hand. So, how should we respond and with the urgency required of us?

Join the Anthropocene Architecture School as we break from (architectural) tradition and act like our house – and the planet that sustains us – is one fire. Free, but ticketed.
