Up a Hill, Down a Hill
MLitt, & 3rd Year Sculpture and Environmental Art
For this project Environmental art is being used as a tool to engage with an outdoor space; physically, socially and spiritually we aim to bring people together with the land, each other and the work made for the ‘Up a hill, down a hill’ exhibition.
MLitt and year three Environmental Art students from Glasgow School of Art are working alongside The Woodland Trust and invite you to an event with a variety of Sculptures, films and performances for everyone to experience that will be situated throughout the grounds.
The works are created by the artists individual interpretation of the site. Each work is set in the grounds of Lang Craigs which is a 600 acre new native woodland with 6km of grass and surfaced paths, linking both Lang Craigs and Overtoun Estate.
Our aim is to engage with an audience by bringing them into the site and through the landscape connected by the individual works to encourage an alternative interaction with the natural world alongside the art.
